Default Tired of ko4 problem

Took my car to the local audi dealer two days ago and got it back today hoping that they might find the source of my problems. Well 120 dollars later, i still have nothing resolved, the vag said knock and 02 sensor which they guy cleared and supposedly cleaned. There were also misfire codes. Suprise, the big problem with my car to begin with. Well He drove the car and said it was fine, no problems etc. I take it home and once i go into boost, i get a misfire.
NOw the local euro shop is backed up for 2 and a 1/2 weeks, and also said we dont want to do it, because we spend too many hours trying to find a problem and dont have a high success rate. Ive been battling this problem since i installed some time in january, and quite frankly dont want to have to deal witht he after effects of constant misfiring and such. Anyone have any fricken idea?

Which cyl is the misfire on? could be a bad coil pack or spark plug.

Post the actual code numbers here and we can help more.

I don't see on your list of mods an upgraded diverter valve, but I might have missed it.

You could also have a bad oxygen sensor.

No, just said i had stored random misfire codes. Vague is the word i think on that one. But its possible that its the 02 and ill prob replace it, but i dont think its causing all these problems. And sig says hyperboost dv, so no problems there.

Start with replacing your plugs if there are no specific misfire codes. I had a cracked spark plug that missed when I would get into the boost like you describe. It was barely noticeable- a hair line crack in the porcelin.

Lean, id say no, maybe slightly rich from what i remember after visiting discount auto and getting my car checked. And i guess i could take out the plugs, but they were brand new with the ko4, although cracked plugs would make a difference. I sent AWE an email i will see how far i get with them.

check your coil packs... its the most frequent cause of misfire in an audi...

i feel like i own a 1.8 cuz i know so dam much about them just from reading this forum...

i think i might just buy a 1.8 on the side of my 2.8 so i can relate to everyone better lol.... well see...

i had the same problem but my car when it got on the boost I was hitting fuel cut off and I took it to the mechanic and they did a boost leak check and found a broken hose and my problem was fixed now the car runs almost perfect but I still have the problems with the o2 sensors because I dont have any catalitic converter .try checking for boost leaks .

Are the spark plugs gapped correctly? You might need a smaller gap with the K04.
