Isn't it false advert. if they fail to honor their advertised price? I checked autotrader AND the dealerships inventory and both show a price of $999. If there was damage or a R title it would mention it I suppose. I guess Ill know tonight.

 

no, false advertising is not getting what you paid for. Think of it this way. Suppose i had my car for sale on autotrader and made a typo like that. Do you think that i will say " oh okay well i guess i made a typo, you only have to pay 999 instead of 9,999" the fact that they put the wrong price has nothing to do with false advertising. look at the fine print on autotrader and other car selling sites. It usually says somthing like "seller not responsible for errors in the ad"

 

Oh ok, blcause there was a local dealership that ran a commercial with a ape saying "For 20,000 bannanas you can own this car". A guy showed up with 20,000 bannanas and legally the dealership HAD to sell him the car.

It was all over the news.

 

Lol, thats hilarious. That's very rare. Im surprised any judge would agree with that customer. If the car really is 999, then I would fly to whatever dealer that is and buy it in a heartbeat providing the car was in running order.
