Default took a look around at other euro cars at carmax.

Sold my DSM at carmax today, and while I was waiting I took a look at a few euro and comparable cars to compare what I had in my audi heres what I got.

I took a look at the following brands:
BMW
Mercedes
Lexus
Acura
Jaguar
AUdi S4

Now when I stepped into the BMW 745 and Mercedes c something(sorry im not a big euro car guy) the interiors just didnt seem to fit me. For the record Im 5'10" 170 so Im the average. The BMW interior was gawdy and youd have to pay me to sit in it long enough to get to work. the mercedes interior looked decent but the armrest on the door and over all layout really bothered me and my fiance'.

Lexus felt good overall, like a car I could drive and would buy. granted ive sat in better cars in my day, but astetically it was nice. the only downfall was that everything felt cheap. so I would have to strike a bargin.

Jaguar over OK interior, nothing like my uncles top of the line jaguar, but OK. Nothing really stood out as bad, cheap or ugly.

Acura TL wow, I loved the interior it was a nice car all round and the interior felt great. Still had the japanesse feel to it but very nice none the less. Quality was great and I would definatly compare it to my audi in feel, yet the quality of the a4 seems slightly better and the layout is a tiny (very tiny) bit better. But I felt more sporty in the tl then I do in my a4.

Audi S4 same as my a4 except the seats werent as comfortable as my a4. I tried to adjust but for some reason the seat back just didnt feel right. Overall nice car but I am somewhat glad I choose my a4 over the s4 (remebr I didnt buy my audi for performance).

Overall I was dissapointed in the mainstream euro cars and the jaguar was just plain OK. The Japanesse cars felt good especially the TL, but for a luxary car the lexus didnt fit the bill. If the TL came with a decent full time awd in my price range it would be tough to choose between that and a b7 audi. You may say well hey you didnt drive them, well Id say they all have ample power and gas mileage for my use. But the interior is what I have to deal with everyday, just just a seat in the car has weeded out cars I may have looked at in the future.

well the 2005 745 inerior I saw was plain ugly and no matter how I djusted the seats the dash felt like it was trying to swallow me. But like I always say to each his/her own. so if you like it then thats fine, but I didnt. When acuras tl comes awd (dont know if it already is) and takes regular fuel then I amy not be going audi again. which sucks as I love my audi and the new b7 is beautiful.

So its all about the looks and interior for you huh?? No performance interest?? Well, I can relate i bought my audi soley on looks and interior knowing it was slow, andi didnt even know about chipping or BT's. I know I'd pick my audi over most of those cars you mentioned even knowing its 5 or 6 years older. The B5 is SOOOO classic and sexy.. When i found out about chipping and BT's and everything, it was like a huge bonus, and I think I'm obsessed.. So I guess this goes to me: http://media.putfile.com/beautifull9

Sorry I'll stop with the link.. This is probably seriously offensive to many people because they are like...."Eh.. Thats me!!" after seeing it.

I looked at the C class before I bought the A6 and I have to say... That C class was the biggest piece of SH*T I have ever been in. How could anyone buy one of those things. It was so cheap, I almost couldn't believe it.

yeah the c class was the worst, bmw was bad and ugly but my fiance' hated the c class it seemed to thin, and the pillar was very protruding.

Hey now I sat in the chrysler 300c hemi and I was like wow. I loved it, and chrysler quality aint bad mercedes was just poor to begin with. I left the 300c out of it as with my a4 becuase of being biased (I love my a4 and its hard to admit anything wrong, and I love the 300c so same boat)
