I was topping out my '03 and got it up to about 130, and the rpm's were through the roof. i was just wondering how fast you can get it to go before you redline it.

 

they are governed at about 130-135. I believe RPM is governed at 7000? not sure on that.

 

depending on some things some ppl i think have hit at least 140 with some mods u can pass 150

 

Yeah i have had 155 and that was about the limiter.

 

Damn.... thats fast.

 

I havent redline it yet, only 105ish

 

i got mine up to 120ish and couldn't nerve it any faster...

...kept looking at the people in the slow lane doing 50-70 ish and thinking "dont change lanes, god i hope u see me"
i was FLYING past them like they were parked.. !!

2 weeks after getting it chipped i had a road trip (4 hr. drive) and one of those new Mustangs came flying up on me when i was doing about 70ish..
... i move into the right lane to let him by and he's got his girl in the passenger seat....
well it's a convertable so you can see them real well. he looks at me, i look at him, AND HE GIVES IT THAT LITTLE EXTRA GAS !!
we all know what that is.... "vrrrrrrrrrrrrVROOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM !!!"
thats the : "My car is bad a$$, and so much faster than yours.... get out of my way POKEY"
--and thats EXACTLY what he meant, you could see the smirk on his face..

i quickly assesed the situation to avoid a possible embarassment and thought: "non-GT so it's a V6, and it's a convertible so it's extra heavy... YEAH I'VE GOT THIS !!
SO I GOT ON IT !!

downshifing into 4th had me right on his tail in the left lane to get around the car in front of me..
and there wasn't another car to be seen on the Turnpike ....
so i took the right lane again and IT WAS ON !!

we were both doing about 90 when he started to really trail back
there was nothing more than me steadily getting a larger and larger gap
by the time i had 3-4 car lengths on him you could just see him give it up...... i was at 120....
....thinking.....
"who said this has to be a 4 hr. road trip, lets see how quick i can get this done.... hehehe"

i love whooping on people in cheap american "muscle" cars that think they're bad......

hahaha...I was doing about a 110 today heading home from st. Louis and started gaining on a 911 turbo. I think he felt threatened because he pulled to my side and let me pull next to him and then he hit it hard pulling away.
