Default tranny help

im attempting to replace a transmission range sensor?(neutral safety switch) on a 2004 A4 1.8t...first time doing it, so if anyone has any DIY tips, what are the tools and extra parts i may need? best way to get to the switch? any info is much appreciated

The switch is bolted to the transmission at driver side and behind the transmission mount. The best way to get to that switch is to go underneath, and find the wiring harness clamped with the transmission pan. You’ll need a set of socket wrenches to remove the bolts and lug nuts.
