$$$ for rebilding heads (is this high)

I was quoted 2,500 to 3,000 to rebuild the head,with parts and labor.
Is that to high or is that ok

yeah that is a bit high. On my V6 I was quoted 1,500.

not sure but that is worse case.
But I think I F ed it up. and dont want to make it worse.

Jest were you given that price with it all back in the car.
Can someone tell me another place I CT I can call to do this.
