trying to get atleast 300hp out of my 01 a4
 

hey guys
i just bought a 01 audi a4 fwd a few weeks ago. im gonna start working on this project soon. my goal is to get atleast 300 hp. i was wondering what mods you guys think ill need, wich turbo software injectors, and in what order should i get all the stuff. i was also thinking about forged internals from ecs tuning, what do you guys think about that. ive heard that the a4 already has forged internals stock. please give me some input on what you guys think i should do to achive my goals.

Sell your car and get Quattro. Its gunna be real hard to put all that power to the ground efficiently with fwd. Youll go through tires like crazy.

Well I think 90% of our members will tell you that you need a chip and 710n DV to start. That should take you over the 200 hp mark. From there on I dont know. A good chip for the '01 is the GIAC from what I hear.

yeah ive heard about the chip and stuff, and i plan on that but what about turbo upgrades whats the biggest you can go for the money.

You wouldnt want to just chip it if you have plans for a different turbo. Youll have to buy new software when you do that anyway. THat would be a disgusting waste of $500.

look up the member arif and there is like a 30 page post about his renn=art bt setup that gives him about 340 awhp

true true, do you have any suggestions on turbo i just want somthing to keep up with my friends you know. i want it to be pretty fast though. i was thinking the garret ball bearing eliminator kit but idk

The only way that would make some sense to get chipped before you upgrade the turbo is only if you get giac and then upgrade to a k04 down the line cuz youll get some $$ off for the giac k04 software. A ko4 wont get you 300hp though. only a bigger turbo will get you that... and if thats what you are looking for i wouldnt chip it. Like i said though, 300 hp is going to be hard to put to the ground with fwd and also would put your saftey at risk in some situations. I wouldnt go past a k04 with fwd. You can get close to 240 hp with a k04/k04 chip, and 200hp with just a chip and the k03 turbo you already have.

If your going to go that big, you need quattro, like onepointeightee said.

Otherwise you'll never put the power down. If you're going to stay with FWD, go for a chip and eventual k04 setup. Or get some really fat slick front tires.
