You should be able to hear it and feel it, even when stock.

 

i can hear and feel, bone stock, the 170 hp engines might have a louder turbo,

just a guess, but i have an aeb engine, 150 hp, and i can still hear, and feel the turbo

 

i do feel one, but i look for it...

 

I've come from an 18psi turbo.. Maybe thats why?? Turbo is working, as its too fast for a plain old 1.8 lump, its just that there's not much to hear, and the 'kick' must be pretty smoth...

 

My friend has the 170 HP motor and I have the 150 and his turbo is definitely louder than mine is. I can't hear mine unless I'm driving next to a wall in a parking lot and get on the gas or something, but his is much more audible. But this guy has the 170 so I dunno?
