Default Turbo Lag on my 2.0T

I have a 2006 A4 2.0T Quattro and have had turbo lag problems for a while. The car just has so much delay from a stop. Dont even ask about hills, it's ridiculous. I have also cut numerous people off changing lanes b/c my car wont go, and then it just jumps.
Is there anything i can do to fix this without compromising my lease?

Since it's till under warranty, have the dealer take a look at it.

if you think 2.0T's are bad you should go drive a 1.8T

The load from the A/C in this heat may be the cause.

Try putting it on sport mode. I thought mine had some lag problems, turned out when in D mode, it upshifts way too soon

Doesn't sound normal.

Take it back, demand one that works properly!

I also have a 2006 A4 2.0T. It's a 6-speed manual and the turbo lag is virtually nonexistent--less than 1 second. I had a 2002 1.8T MT5 and the turbo lag was noticeable, especially with the airconditioning running, but far less than what you describe with your 2.0. Take the car back to the dealer--there's certainly something wrong.
