Have you checked all the vacuum lines connected to the turbo?

joker23z, are you going to Waterfest? If so, there will be a ton of us there and I sure one or two of us could look at your car to see if we can see if anything is wrong with the turbo. I got a K03 in my garage you can have for cheap if you decide not to upgrade.

 

you can get a new ko3s for next to nothing I have a ko3 for 100 + ship if you want it.

 

id prolly want to buy your ko3 , but im curious if I wanted to get the new ko4 , would i need any extra parts so it can go on my car? Cause i remember reading somewhere that you need exhaust and blah blah blah 500 extra bullshit to get it put on?

Also , where is waterfest? im located in the long island new york area. Ive checked the lines but the noise is very disctinct, the turbo is most defin gone.

You need an installation kit and programming for the K04. The installation kit is the gaskets, bolts etc and it runs ~$40 or so. The programming for a K04 turbo upgrade is around 600-700

does the ko4 HAVE to have programming or will it work without it , cause i wouldnt be able to get programming atleast 2 months after i get the turbo put on. my job sux =(

wut is all the parts + prices i need to upgrade to a ko4. I currently have a greddy cat back exhaust.

 

The K04 will run fine on k03 programming for a while. You will need to get the upgrade programming within a couple of months.

To install a K04 all you need is the install kit which includes new cat to turbo studs, new turbo to manifold bolts, all the gaskets and some copper seals for reconnecting the oil and coolant lines. You will need this kit even if install a K03. The 2.5" exhaust is recommended but not an absolute necessity.
