Turbo Question

yea my local shop wanted 500 to install, i did it my self took about 5-6 hrs. that was my first turbo swap, i could do it alittle faster now that i know how it goes together.

First mod you should do is chip your car.
If your gunna go K04 then get GIAC.
If not , check out APR.
I like my APR lots

chipping is the best mod if u dont plan on any turbo upgrade in the future but if ur thinkin bout it u should go straight for the k04 and complementing software

Are you talking about the APR turbo upgrade? I was looking on their website and it says it's for manual transmission. If you're talking about something else, I'd be interested, because I'm about 45 min. away from an apr shop and could have it done pretty easily. I'll probably chip it in a few weeks, I just wanted to know which way to go if I was going to get the bigger turbo eventually.

no i dont think apr has the k04 program. all u need is the turbo and software and a 5 bar or injectors.

u kno most of the companys let u mail in the ECU and then the program it and then they send it back

yeah, but if I was going to have more done to it, it wouldn't bee too hard to drop it off for the day. I'll probably end up doing the turbo too, so should I just go GIAC on the chip first and eventuall do K04, or would you suggest a different package?

put you K04 in drive the car home take the ECU out
mail it let your car sit lifeless for a day or 2
then then put ECU back in
