Turbo timer throwing codes??
Ok, so I've got the blitz DCII turbo timer installed and took my car in for its FINAL oil service under warranty. When I went to get it back the tech said he read several codes which he thinks were thrown due to the installation of the turbo timer....I really wish he remembered which codes instead of just clearing them. Im having a hard time believing a turbo timer could cause any ecu errors. Its just a simple relay...

RE: Turbo timer throwing codes??
As far as messing up the isntall, I dont see how thats possible. It was rediculously simple...
Another tech explained to me that the problem occurs when you take out the key. Although the ECU is kept alive, other modules are disabled, and when the ECU attempts to communicate with them, it throws an error that they arent responding. |
RE: Turbo timer throwing codes??
There was probably a bunch of no communication codes thrown. Not a big deal.
