99 A4 1.8T as most of u know...i have the GIAC chip ordered and should b here ne day BUT...ive been hearing that with the added boost that i would need to get a new wastegate...is this true, i didn't think it was but im double checking.

 

How about a new diverter valve. It's probably a good idea. Please search.

no wastegate needed. Look into getting an upgraded DV - diverter valve, or BPV - bypass valve (both are same thing)

 

y not a BOV?i like the sound of them and stuff...i just dont like the idea of air pressure getting re-used...i would rather spend the money for an FMIC and get alot of fresh new air in my car and get rid of exess air pressure and plus it sounds cool as hell

 

Your blow off valve makes your car sound like it is on life support.

 

haha thats funny but i still love the sound...its nothing like pulling up to some1 at a streetlight and its some honda and they start revving there engine and they stop for u to rev urs and when u do and they here the BOV its just a classic look that gets on there face like they have already had there *** kicked b4 u would even race them
