Upgrading Side mounts to Front mount why bother Water Methanol is the answer
I just had a water methanol system installed on my B7 2.0T and did a log of charge temperatures and they descended from between 52c/65c to a fix 45c no mater how hard I drove(ambient 35c or 95f). Timing was changed from 6 to 8, and the turbo is pretty much maxed out.

Interesting modification....
Not to pry, but for those of us that are interested, can you offer a ballpark price range for a set-up like that??
Thanks!

Quite simple and it's not a meth charge. It's actually a combination of methanol and water..usually a 50/50 mix. It's use to cool the incomming pressurized air from the turbo. Cooler air = dense charge = more power. Not only does this mix cool down the intake temps, it also acts as an antifreeze agent for the water during the winter times.
as with any intercooler, this suppresses detonation so more power producing boost and timing can be utilized. Water, with its high latent heat of vaporization cools the intake charge and combustion. Methanol cools the charge and combustion but also acts like an extremely high octane fuel (some researchers claim as high as 120 octane) as well as adding more oxygen to combustion.

Ok intake temperatures ranged from 48 C, 50's C to over 70's C after some runs, but it all depends for how long does the car stays at idle and how hard are you driving, however with the water/meth after 10psi is all 35 C 35 C 35 C 35 C 35 C, in all rpm's and ambient was 33 C.
I am using a carbonio intake, and running revo stage II, timing 8, boost 6 (not psi/ value on revo)

Numbers on the first post are wrong I did some logs today and wrote the write ones above

The turbo value can go higher, but I still don’t have a boost gauge, and don’t want to overdo it with the boost, is still set pretty high, enough to peel out from 20mph to roughly 40mph on the dry, with my mods.
