I dont know if anyone can advise but I have a final report back on my audi and need to try and work out how much it could finally cost me and how easy it could be to get the final list done!

In short the outstanding issues are:

1. Clutch hydrolics - goes in gear when warm but a bugger when cold (possible just replacing the oil?)?
2. Air con unit - not seeming to work?!
3. engine management light not going off despite everything mechanical being reported as working (coolant light always on but no leaks or signs of overheating!)?

If anyone has any advice (other than the obvious!) please help. I cant sell it till I get this stuff sorted and I have to negotiate a price for the first lot of work now just to get my car back and the above then sorted!

P.S car is A4 1.8T Y reg 2001 newer shape

 

as for the car not going into gear when cold this is normal on all A4's tha I have seen ushally in second you are not pulling it all the way in

the A/C not working you use the cup holder above the radio everything spills out and goes onto your radio/A/C head causing the buttons to stick and not work properly

as for teh CEL get the car VAG'd this could be a few different problems
