Default VDO Boost Gauge Buzz

For those of you who have VDO boost gauges.. I know it's notorious for making a buzzing sound, and mine was doing that... which is why I got the special T-fitting from PureMS. Installed, and it still buzzes... anything else I can do?

I've heard of this before, but: had VDO in my Volvo 850T5, S70T5 and in my A4 - never any buzzing issues with a basic $0.99 fitting from autozone...

Sorry to say this but the easiest fix I know of is to get rid of it and get an Autometer gauge.

autometer is notorious for not zeroing out....i.e. mine. after you turn the car off, somtimes it'll read 1 psi of boost....thus giving a inaccurate reading next time.

im looking for a new gauge.

i like the VDO.. just that buzz is so damn annoying! Interesting you say that SlowB5. When I turned my car off when I got to work, it didn't read at 0, but it was a bit lower, like a -1. Does that matter? Anyway, back to the buzz. Maybe I missed something.. there's nothing special you have to do with the T-Fitting right? does it make a difference if you clamp the hoses? Right now i have no clamps on the 3 hoses where the T is.

A4 the Quattro: Is the T-fitting from ECS different than the one from PureMS?

Jeff: Where did you get your defi gauge, or whats a good website to get a good deal on one?
