Vibration at 50mph accelerating hard at rear
 

hi all,

really need your help on this one.

I bought an a4 avant quattro 1.8t 92k miles. Ive had it for around 4 days now and i have noticed if driving around 50mph and i accelerate hard there is a vibration at the rear. soon as i let off its fine. also if i accelerate slowly it is not there.

could this be the inner cv joint. It has only started the past day.

or could it be tyres.
If it is the cvs roughly how much are we talking for repairs.

Could be either. You can swap wheels front to rear and see if the vibration moves. If its the shaft, check the site sponsors for parts prices - front shafts can be had for $75ish and rears should be similar. You also may have a bad wheel bearing or a worn center bearing on the driveshaft, or even loose lug bolts.
