Volumes of various flushes!
Hey guys! I have been looking up trying to find how much of pink coolant/brake fluid/hydraulic fluid/transmission fluid I need for my 96 1.8T FWD A4 to do flushes of all these fluids.
Could someone please tell me so that I can order the appropriate amount from ecstuning. Also, there have been issues about checking the color of coolant in my car but its kindda real dirty yellowish...!! Any comments as to can I still use the Pink coolant?? Thank you Bix |
RE: Volumes of various flushes!
Phone ESCTUNING and ask them how much of eachyou need. The last owner
used universal global yellow antifreeze. |

ya do a flush. Get a couple gallons. You wont use all 2, more like 1 gallon, but its good to have extra for in the future. I used 1 bottle of pentosin G12 and filled the rest up with distilled water when i flushed mine when i had to do the T belt.

Cool. Thanks guys. Just spoke to ecstuning.. They say as long as I am doing a flush, the old yellow color doesn't matter. and I can use the Pink Pentosin.
This week's gonna be big.. Need to flush coolant/steering fluid/brake fluid/coolant temp sensor....[>:] Enjoy :) |

Pretty sure all the capacities are in the owners manual. If not, check a haynes/bently manual.

Hey guys
Finally, Got 3 bottles of 1.5 litres each just to be sure. lso, I had ordered the blue sensor but suckin ecstuning guys sent me the green one.[:@] Flushed all the coolant. Surprisingly, I could only put back 3 litres of coolant (I mean one 1.5L Pentosin + 1.5L water?? I am very much surprised and scared as to wat happened? Is it because its cold weather and its not asking for a lot. I have driven about 150 mi after coolant flush and its been fine!!! Any inputs? Thanx Bix |
RE: Volumes of various flushes!
My car took a gall. of G12 that i got from the dealer and a gall of water. I had to run the car to get all the fluid in there. Did you fill the radiator first?
