Why would you want to change your wastegate? I'm curious.

There is no reason to change your wastegate unless its malfunctioning.

The only reason for you changing your wastegate is if you have a Big turbo and the spring is releasing boost to early.

not allowing you to really make boost at all.

but i dont think you have that

well..if pple get so curious..with my open downpipe creating less back pressure and letting my wastegate open longer..making my turbo spool up more..plus my nos..giving meeh more boost..i need a waste gate dat can stand more so my engine doesnt detonate from the turbo spooling up to much..

I think you guys are talking about the wastegate actuator. The wastegate itself is an internal part of the turbo.

but if you wastegate opens then you will make less boost becuase the air will bypass the hotside and not spin it up. so if you put a stronger one in there it will keep it shut longer and you will over boost.
