Okay I posted about this problem once b4 and never really got any help. For some reason my exhaust at times will make a very annoying vibrating noise. It only happens sometimes. I have also noticed that when I first start the carit sounds fine, but after about 7 minutes orso it makes that stupid ratlling sounds at low rpm acceleration and again at hihg rpm acceleration Im not sure if its the deep tone of the exhaust rattling something on the car or the exhaust iteslef rattling but I really wanna rip it off when it makes this sound. My whole exhaust was welded not clamped so it cant be the clamps and the vibrating sounds like its right under the cabin is it possible its one of the resonators b/c there is a resonator right about where the sound seems to be coming from. If you need more info please say so. I just really want to fix it. Between me contantly getting kicked into limp mode and now this exhaust nonsense its makeing driving a lot less enjoyable which is very hard to do in a car this fun.

 

Can you here it outside the car or just inside the car? Someone thought it was rubbing agaist something. If you can only here it inside and the car vibrates pretty bad he could have been right.

 

I dont knwo next time I'll have my cousin hop out and I'll do some runs and see if he can hear it too. I hope no one else can hear it HAHA Other than that vibrating I love it. Alright well sorry for the technical double post guys I'll see what I can find.

 

If the noise is only inside try using a prybar to shift the motor different directions to see if it stops and the vibrating stops. It may not be the exhausthitting it could be a hose or something else. Alot of times motor mounts being bad cause the motor to shift enough that things can rub, bad motor mount has purple ooze coming from them.

 

I found out its my little mid console thing vibrates due to my louder exhaust, yes its as annoying as ****.. and its louder when the mid console it open

It doesn't sound like its inside te car its sounds like its under like something vibrating underneath. And it only does it sometimes. Im just gonna have EVOMS take a look at my exhuast when they are teching it to see why I'm always getting kicked into limp mode. Even though my annoying sound is inside like you AMZE I feel ya bro, cuz the sound I have is killing me.

 

I know the sound you are talking about cause i have it know after i had a pipe welded in place of my resonator. I hear the rattle as soon as i start to give the car gas, then it stops as i go higher in rpm. (this is when im parked) I had the shop push my muffler back so the tips are more flush with the bumper instead of sticking out 3-4". This made the pipes & muffler closer to the body and sway bar. I have not gotten under it yet but i think its hitting the sway.

 

Could it be the heat shield? My cousin's Integra had an exhaust rattle and it turned out that the heat shield broke a weld. His only rattled at certain times too. Could be way off, but it might be worth a look.....

 

Could be the cats need replacing mine are doing the same thing since i bought my car, i drive my car hard and recently the exhaust has started making a hissing sound like a turbo which is making me worry even more.

 

My exhaust was doing the exact same thing when I got under the car I found that is was the slip joint where the down pipe and the reasonator section of the exhaust meet the clamp was loose. My clamp was a bit rusted so I put a new on on it is quiet as can be now.
