weird noise comming from somewhere
Hey guys,
For a while now my car seems to be making a howling wind noise, like if you blowing very hard through the top of a metal pipe or coke bottle. You know that "whhhhoooooooo" noise. However its not screeching loud but a DEEP "WHHHOOOOO". It only happens when the car is not moving. once i start driving the noise disappears. Anyone got an idea of what this might be.

hmm something in the rear i would really have no idea if you are not moving I even asked a few tehs and there shouldn't be any sounds when not moving its possible amybe an exhaust leak but that would be very uncommon since Audi uses stainless steel exhaust parts
I think I'd kind want to know what some weird noise was before my next oil change it will take you 2 seconds to put you car in the air and take a look and see what is going on

There may be an owl trapped under the car! Just kidding. That could be your resonator (part of the muffler) that may have a hole and at idle you are on resonance frequency. Just a thought.
