Weird sound
Drivers side front wheel. Every revolution it makes a noise. Low pitched, kinda like the tire is flat is like a woosh.....woosh.....woosh. Car doesnt really rattle or anything, just the noise. Its not a cv joint is it? Any idea what it could be, im going to the mechanic tomorrow. Thanks...

RE: Weird sound
it doesn't sound like your cv joints...can you describe the sound better? is it only at low speeds? is it only when turning?

RE: Weird sound
Low speeds is when i notice it. When im going really slow and when im next to something i can hear it well. It sounds like something is rubbing almost. You can hear the wheel revolving. It isnt related to turning at all. ..

RE: Weird sound
wheel bearing maybe[sm=gears.gif]

RE: Weird sound
it may just be a piece of your inner fender popped out of place...or even a piece of trash lodged in your wheel well, have you looked in behind the wheel? i'm assuming you checked the tire pressure already..

RE: Weird sound
Def. not bearings. The sound isnt constant. Meaning you dont hear it all the time, its every revolution. If im going 5 miles an hour, you hear it like every 2 seconds. Noise........noise........noise. Its actually quiet hard to hear. Sounds alot like rubber flopping onto the road. Kinda like a flat. And no my wheels arnt flat at all My girlfriend swears on everything she couldnt hear it in the passenger seat, but then again she didnt notice the difference when i blew my cat off while driving either. Bottom line is it goes in tomorrow and ill have them check it out. Thanks for your help its probably something really stupid...

RE: Weird sound
sounds like you've just got something stuck in your wheel well, just look in the wheel well and you'll see what it is.

RE: Weird sound
Could be something stuck and rubbing against wheel. Other possibility could be brake calipers that aren't fully retracting and causing pads to rub.

RE: Weird sound
Peteman. Let me know what it is. I have the same sound on my passenger side. I noticed it after replacing the tie rod ends. I think david might be right. I remember pulling on my brake to get things lined up to insert the new tie rod end. I probably messed something up. Crap.

RE: Weird sound
Lightly apply the brakes to see if sound changes. Swap the front tires to see if the sound moves to the other side.
