What is this?
Just picked up a used 2011 A4 and saw this hanging from inside the trunk. I have no idea what it is. Any and all help will be appreciated. Is my car missing something that the original owner kept?

That's an audio signal attenuator that would be used with an aftermarket amplifier. It isn't original to the car. The manufacturer says:
So perhaps the previous owner had added an amplifier to boost the power to speakers.
SNI-15 converts 10 to 30 watts per channel speaker level output into a pre-amp signal. Perfect when adding an amplifier to a factory or aftermarket radio. Great for getting an additional set of pre-amps outputs from a head unit equipped with only one set.
