alright, I'm back in the forums....feels good. none of you know me, but I had a B5 S4 for a while, and actually sold it to a lucky new owner from the forums back in october. Since then I've been driving the biggest piece of dog c*ck in the world...a 2001 GMC Jimmycap. my friend is movin to china in a few weeks and has to sell his '03 A4 1.8t...so I'm buyin it...49k miles 03, loaded sport pck for $12.5....not a bad deal. Anyways, i'm used to the S4, so i know this lazy *** A4 won't be anything like it...but....and I know I'm reposting a similar question.....what the hell can this old B5 Twin Turbo guy regain some of that nice power in a 1.8t. I'm thinkin chip, exhaust. can I find a BIGGGGER turbo for a good price around here?...if so, are the upgrade costs for the A4 anything like the costs for the S4? I only wanna spend like 3 or 4 g's, so whoever wants to answer this question for the 1000th time, shoot over the best....none of this ebay knock off brand stuff....I want this thing to at least sound good...and maybe come close to 250hp..up from the, what, 170hp?....ughh...

 

yes you can find a new turbo for your car. chip, exhaust is a good start

 

K04 it. With supporting mods youll be close to 250hp with about 300tq. If you really want to be impressed like you were with the S4,look into the Garret Eliminator BT's for 300+ hp.
I dont understand what the "ugh" is all about... If you have $12,500 to spend you can easily find a used B5 S4 for that with reasonable mileage. Not to mention the extra 3-4K you want to spend in mods. You could have yourself a beastly S4... I dont get it? WHy did you sell your S4?

 

how much would you say the garret is? $12.5 for this guy's car is a great price and I'm buying it to help him out and to get out of driving a JIMMY...I went from an S4 to a JIMMY....anyways, I sold the S4 because I lost my job...and it was getting up to 85k miles...i'm sure you know that they are very expensive to fix and the time comes when you have to let go...so i'm workin my way back into the german autos and just happened to fall on this deal...so I'm gonna take it...and I don't have $12.5...but I'm sure a bank does enough of the mumbo jumbo....a K04 would be cool...probalby just as fast, if not faster than the S...this Garret sounds nice though...probably pricey...what #'s are we lookin at with the chip and exhaust...anything power boost like the S4?..or just a few HP.

ha...i forget whata party even is....i'm searchin...just didn't know if its the same basic sh*t as the s4...chip, exhaust...maintenance mods...then the big turbo upgrade....but I guess its all the same...
