im selling my modded 93 bmw 325i and buying a 98 a4 1.8t quattro 5 speed,drove my friends a4 with th ko4 ,chip ,and fell in love with the turbo kick) but i want more power ,im going to pick it up next week and want to start modding it ,every car i v ever had iv modded ,anyway i found this turbo kit on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Audi-...91813277QQrdZ1 ,,,tell me what you guys think of this its only $525 and brand new ,,,any other ideas from you guys on getting more horsepower from these small engines

Piece of junk. you pay for what you get. A good intercooler alone is almost a grand. If you want something more powerful than the K04 go with the GT28rs like Tom did. It's going to get more expensive than $525. My chip alone was almost $500.

1400 will get you a Ko4.

From my experience with SSautochrome, avoid them like the plague. Their turbos are not to be confused with XS engineering units--a reputable turbo company. The XS power turbos are produced in China and are very low quality units. Ive seen pics of them where the compressor housing has falling off of the CHRA, apparently the glue melted.... yes glue. Also their manifolds are known to crack in weeks. Not to mention, I dont see any intercooler pipes in that kit and those make up a huge bulk of the expense in a reputable kit. I just see too many problems, where are the proper oil lines, the fuel control, downpipe, and that IC is not gonna fit without a complete hackjob.
