Hey there, I was wondering if any of you have a preference when it comes to gas stations? I have two friends that refuse to use anything but 76 gas stations. They claim that it has 'better' gas. Any truth to that?

I went through this same issue a little while back .... got some opinions on several forums ... read some articles ... did a little internet research ... and I've decided to go with Shell V-Power 93 octane and nothing else. That seemed to be the most-preferred and most-recommended from my research.

I seen a show on gas on the History chanel, they said that gas is the same. Lets say BP send's a shipment through the pipe line and Shell sends a shipment after them. Shell can pick-up BP's gas if they are there first. Personal I have always used BP's 93 its right by my house and is usually the cheapest.

 

I use Chevron w/ techron! And always get the highest octane available, which in Nor Cal is 91 [:@] . It might not be the best gas but then again i dont end up paying for it so

 

Costco 91 gas.... its magic

 

yeah i read all the gas is the same too...until the individual companies
add the additives.. i wont use Arco, I noticed a big diff in mileage / drivability.

Shell / 76 / Chevron.. good brands, top tier...

 

Sunoco 93. 94 if the station still has it.

 

Would it be bad for 1.8 t chipped to run 94 octane that ethanol blended??
