I was shopping for my next B6... and I found one but it has weird sign on its engine bay... what is this??? Should I buy this car??

No...I found this car at the local Audi delaer... I'm looking for my 2nd B6 1.8t.....
Do u think this car is flooded?? Carfax said the car has no problem at all......
Should I trust Carfax or looking for other ones....??

 

you should always get a carfax the good thing is the dealer should get u one for free
but carfax only works if they report it

 

that definately looks like it got into contact with salt water to me...

did you ask the dealer about it?

 

same thing happend to me when i took my caar in at the shop and when i picked it up the next day it was like that. its like some sort of condensation. its not from salt.

were you able to remove it by touching it?? i forgot exactly what the guy at the shop said it was.

 

Engine was probably degreased at a car wash, and they didnt get all the degreaser off of it or dry it very well.

 

+1 Probably some kind of cleaner that left a film behind. Is the car going to be certified by the Audi dealer?

 

Looks like normal oxidation of aluminum.
