What is this noise?
I have just recently noticed that when I drive my b5 1998 A4 slow and have the window down, I can hear a squeek on the right side of the car. I think its something with the wheels. Could that be wheel bearings or something else? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks
Could be control arms. Mine squeak like a bastard in the rear. Is it continuous, or when you hit a road imperfection? Continous noise is most likely wheel bearings. If it squeaks when your suspension compresses or extends, it's likely control arms.
or cv joints. turn the wheel completely to the side that makes the noise and check behind the to check and see if the rubber boot, piece of rubber connected to the back of rotor to see if its ripped and there is grease and **** everywhere

There is no rubber boot connected to the back of the rotor... You mean the hub?

well the only time i notice it is when im going straight and slow and it sounds like its coming from the left side, not sure if its rear or front. I should probably figure that out.
