At what point....
Hi all,
When you start down the road of mods... say by having a re-mapping done... at what point do you have to start replacing stock components and which ones!!! i.e. say you go from 150bhp to 210??? And then higher say if you change the turbo. Which are critical replace, at which point and which are nice to haves???? thanks |
RE: At what point....
when u go for a big turbo and still u really dont need to upgrade
when u want to make your car like this http://www.drimportsaudi.com/motorsp.../DTM-A4s-2.jpg i think its time to upgrade the internals but still those cars do have v8s |

Ok....
So general concensus is you dont have to upgrade stock parts if you are doing a remapping.... However.. various people have said I should replace a valve... being stupid can someone tell me if a BYPASS VALVE, BLOW OFFVALVE and DIVERTER VALVE are different names for the same thing??? If so any recommendations? What should I be looking for??? On the topic of re-mapping the ECU are most diagnostic neutral???? Or should I say undetectable when taken into an Audi dealership??? I like the idea of the GIAC one that enables you to remap at the press of a button... anymore like that??? Does anyone have any thoughts on http://www.upsolute.com/ as ever thanks guys |
RE: At what point....
personally i started off with looks first (which i regret). I did grill, altezza tail lights, wheels. I want to put an exhuast and chip it soon, and also drop it about 1 1/2 inches
