what should i do to make my car louder?
 
i want my 96 a4 2.8 to sound more manly. what should i do and i dont wanna spend that much money?

buy an exhaust with 3 inch piping... i don't know how euro that is but it will help with the manly sound

Remove the mid resonators and get an aftermarket muffler. Magnaflow, Remus, Borla, plenty of choices out there. Or you can get a full cat-back system from supersprint or milltek, they are expensive though and not very loud if thats what your going for. For more info go to the 2.8 FAQ page.

Cut a hole in a Folgers coffee can and there ya go buddy! LOL. J/K. A good way to go a little louder without the full blown exhaust is a muffler and tips. Just make sure you go with a low growl instead of the ricer squeal. :D

could do an intake

or just go with a new exhaust

but intake would be cheapest

You can try a cut out, but i dont know how they would sound on an audi..they cost about 30-35 bucks.
