The first time I got it chipped, it responded soo nice. The car responded fast and threw you to the back of your
seat... now; with exhaust, DV, and K&N drop in, the car seems slower. Boost is such a bitch, I can be flooring it
in 3rd as my engine is largely unaffected by the 15PSI from the turbo. I noticed a bit of surging with my old DV, I
got a new one and its like I dont get boost, I have to wait and wait and wait... and Im getting sick of it. I guess
my bitchy rant leads to these questions: what the hell is going on with my B5? Whats going on with my turbo?

I want to go with a KO4 upgrade but if I have these problems, I feel it will be a waste.

 

Don't know what the problem could be. Check for codes?

 

boost/vac leak?

 

you said that it happened after you swapped your dv, and you say that you're losing/not holding pressure, i would check there first. you might have a back connection some where.

 

I can almost be 100% positive its a leak.

I sad similar symptoms with my past turboed cars and it was a boost leak.

 

It could be hot weather .
Or it could even just be in your head ..

 

yea weather plays a factor but it should still spool up normally.

But on a hot day , it wont kick you back like it normaly does

 

What d/v did you fit? maybe if it was a forge or similar you need to change the spring for the higher boost?

 

check vaccum lines...?
