So I drive my 01 a4 2.8 to work today fine using the ac with no issues. I take the thing out for my lunch brake and the dash reads the weather as in the low 20's and my ac doesn't work. The cars not showing anything wrong with it on the dash but i'm confused. My car says service when I start it but i'm getting my service on Monday since that's when I have my appoinment. I'm so confused. Please help me so I don't have to drive home in the heat?

 

IDK maybe the temp sensor or climate controls are fried?

 

My girlfriend left a soda from mcdonalds in the cup holder is there any chance that that leaking could have fried something.

 

probably not, I have had plenty of cups leak persperation down onto my woodgrain and nothing has been fried, but i wouldnt say its completely outta the question.
