Where can I find drilled rotor for 3.0L?
I did a search but cannot find related topics. It seems like Brembo and Zimmerman only makes drilled rotor/disk for 1.8T. Anyone know where I can find drilled rotor for 2004 A4 3.0Q? Also, will be weird if I have drilled rotors on both front and rear?
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
Try ecs tuning, there are tons of places that offer stuff for our cars.

i dont think it will make a difference if you buy the brembo rotors for the 1.8T cause the only difference between a 1.8T and a 3.0 (Brakes) is that the 1.8T has rotors that are a bit smaller, everything else should be the same. Im going to be getting brembo rotors too but not for a while cant wait tho

I drive pretty fast and have a long distance commute everyday. The highway I am using is one of the worst highways in the state. So I often in a stop and go situation which means the road is open for high speed for a while and then all of a suddent you have to stop completely.
So... all I want issomething can provides me better breaking performance (meaning shorten the breaking distance) and won't warp due to the heat. It's mainly for safty reason, I want something stop the car fast.

The real question is WHY you want driller rotors?

www.thetirerack.com has standard and slotted ones if you are interested in them. I kind of prefer the look of the slotted over drilled. Drilled or slotted are supposed to do pretty much the same thing. I think the slotted have less problems with cracking though.

Why? Drilling removes metal from the rotor and in your case you want as much metal as possible to help with the heat buildup. You said it yourself... you don't want them to warp due to the heat. Less metal = more heat.
Plain flat faced rotors with upgraded pads and brake fluid will give you much more braking performance.
Upgrade the brake fluid to Motul 5.1 or RBF600 and flush it out every 2 years. A more aggressive pad compound will bite sooner and not fade as quickly under repeqated use.
Since you are on a highway and get to go for a while before you have to come to a stop the rotors will have more than enough time to cool down before the next braking zone.
MC Hammered,
I thought drilled rotor suppose reduce heat. If that is the case, I will go with Brembo OE rotor (solid plain), Hawk performance pads, change break fluid, and upgrade breakline to Goodridge G-Stop breakline.
What do you think about that? Thanks for your input.

Drilled rotors for street use are purely for looks. If you look at the Stoptech site they even recommend that you use slotted rotors if you track the car.
Brembo solid faced rotors are great, Hawk HPS are very good and low dust street pad and I suggest using RBF600 fluid and flush it out every two years.
You can upgrade to stainless steel lines if you like but I would suggest that you try out the upgraded pads and rotors first. You can always upgrade the lines if you don't like the way the pedal feels but since you haven't mentioned it now then why spend the $$$ on lines?
