I will get a inside pic in the am, the other end runs into a wire bundle right next to the plug junction that holds about 6 circular plugs for the a/c etc. tomorrow i will be wiring up the starter/alt and wiring in the new rear oxygen sensors and starting her up. so i guess i will see what doesnt work then.

How far down does it drop if you put it behind the headlight? I thought I was going to have a mess of cables and not know where any of it goes when I did my timing belt. But in reality there were only a few cables up front. The only ones I can remember are the headlight, foglight, horn (I had one on each side, I think earlier A4's had a single one, not sure), and maybe something for the radiator or something. And every one of them was easy to figure out because of where the plug fell naturally and the shape of it. It's pretty idiot proof I think.
