Hey, I bought my A4 back in January, It's a 98.5 . Well since I bought it I have noticed that I get very poor radio reception, Once I get more than 30 miles from where the station is broadcasting from I lose all reception. Well a while back I pulled the aftermarket CD player out because I noticed that whoever put it in hooked the speakers up backwards, And while doing so I noticed the cable for the antenna. So I followed the cable back as far as I could ( which wasn't very far) but still couldn't figure out where it goes too. So my question to you is, Where is the antenna located in my car? I thought maybe it was in the windshield or something but I see no wires in it. It's really not that big of a problem because I listen to CD's most of the time anyway, But it is still an annoyance when I do feel like listening to the radio and can't. Thanx

Yup yup. Top 2 wires in the rear window.

 

is you back window tinted? if so they didn't use the correct tint and thats why you get bad reception.

 

Have the exact same problem so I bought a hidden power antenna, basically goes on the back of the radio. I am still waiting for it to come in so we'll see how well it works, cost 75 bucks. I heard they are very effective.

Back windshield.. is your car tinted with cheap stuff?

 

It might be your antenna amplifire behind the d pillar. If radio reception is bad in both FM and AM thats probably what it is, check it and see if it has any cracks in it.
