Default why is speedtuning cheap?

After researching I decided that giac was the most appropriate for my 1998.51.8T. I wantthe bestchip for my carbutit would be foolish spendan extra$275if speedtuning isjust as good.I know the power gains aresimilar on both, but are there any other factors I need to know?I am just suspicious as to why speedtuning can be so much cheaper than its competitors.

The disadvatage is when you go K04 and have to buy another chip.
GIAC can be retuned, and I don't believe SpeedTuning can be.
Sidenote, waiting to get my ECU back from SpeedTuning right now.

You can't really expect to get the equivelent power out of such a cheap chip when compared to bigger companies like APR and GIAC. I can say that as I just installed mine about an hour ago..
