How do I access the windshield washer pump for replacment on a 02 A4 Quattro? It looks like I have remove the front left tire and wheel well cover to get ot the pump. Is this right?

 

Yup

 

Its easier if you get the car on a hoist or jack stands and take off the belly pan. It's easier to work on the pump/s from the side they are actually mounted on (front side). The belly pan is easier to remove than the tire and fender line IMO. Good luck no matter what you decide.
