Hi, I have a 98.5 A4. We had a snow storm here the other day & I went out to start my car so that it could warm up before I went somewhere, Well it was raining the night before and I must have forgot to turn my wipers off cause as soon as I started the car the wipers started going. Too bad for me the drivers side windshield wiper was froze to the windshield so it stayed down while the other wiped away. Ever since then every time I use the wipers the driver side one slowly work it's way further and further towards the edge of the windshield. Anyways my question is how do I tighten it so it quits doing this. Thanx.

 

The screw on it could just be loose, tighten it up...

 

If it's like my 2002, there is a plastic cap on the wiper arm, pop it off and underneath there is a nut (21mm or 22mmif I'm not mistaken) to tighten the arm. It sounds like it might be stripped though.

 

yep exactly pop the thing of and tighten the hell out of it
