Driving home , hit a deer!!! SWEET! Good thing about MN is that its a the type of claim that doesnt affect you negatively. It bent up my front left fender and f*cked up my drivers headlight.

I have a 1999 A4 1.8TQM. How much do these repairs cost? Most likely will be a fender+header+fender paint+install...

I have a $500 deductible but if its not much over thatim not gonna claim it

Its gunna be considerably more than your deductible, probably at least $2000. I wish we had that insurance in Oregon; it would make hitting deer a lot less costly, especially since there’s more deer than people in some places.

 

some insurance companies wont cover deer hitting.. the consider it an "Act of god" and not an accident.. also if you see those yellow signs with the deer on it as seen below, the deer has the right of way.. and you can actualy be ticketed for failure to yield. Thats only in some places though, not all.

 

HAHAHA, I would have to kick the cops *** if he gave me a ticket for hitting a deer. then I would take the hoof and beat him with it.

In NJ, hiting these large rats is covered by insurance.

 

I swear officer, the deer changed lanes without signaling.

 

If it doesn't effect your insurance then I would go get some estimates. Find out if the insurance company will write you the check, if they will then you take the check and fix it yourself. Like headshok said, this would be a good time to upgrade. Put some 99.5 fenders on and change the headlights to e-codes, and have the front clip repainted.
