z-max
i used a gumout fuel injection cleaner and got improved gas mileage....this is the first thing that pops up if you google zmax.....sooo i'd say no..
EDIT: "tests cited to support performance claims actually demonstrated that motor oil treated with zMax produced more than twice as much bearing corrosion than motor oil alone, and that the three different products - an engine additive, a fuel line additive and a transmission additive - were all actually tinted mineral oil."

i heard that too for years..i think that may just be older injection systems...i've found that alot of a4 owners use injector cleaner fuel additives and haven't had any problems at all..almost everyone gets at least slightly better gas mileage...apparently our FI systems are pretty solid.
nice sig just noticed the writing and i also used gumout and i got 2 mpg for it and it also seemed to restore some performance. Its only $4 so i would say its worth it. Z max sounds like a joke like most of that TV crap.
