Check engine light
Hello. I bought a 2011 a5 2 months ago. Passed emissions on the day I bought it. But 1000 miles in and my check engine light came on. I brought it to a local auto supply shop to have them scan the codes for me and this is what came up: p2187 - system too lean at idle bank 1 p2279 - intake system too lean p12a2 - fuel pressure sensor high I’m assuming if these codes were an issue at the time of emissions testing - done on 12/21/18 - the car wouldn’t have passed. I’m new to Audi so any direction on where to start will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

Thanks! In doing a little research, I’ve read a faulty pcv valve may be the bad guy here. I can hear a distinct whistling noise from there, and there is a vacuum on the oil cap. I’m thinking it’s a decent place to start |
Good idea. That's an easy fix. Make sure you get the latest version for your car.
