I'm thinking of getting a 3.2 sport;


Audi A5 3.2 Sport Multitronic 3dr


But I mainly want one because I can't afford an M3, and I want a car that makes those beautiful roaring sounds. I figure an A5 is the closest alternative.


I am wondering if the car I linked above will for example sound like the car below;




Or does the car in the video have some extra mods fitted?

According to the title of the clip, it's not the same engine you're looking at. The one in the video is a TDi (turbo diesel). The stock exhaust is pretty mild, a full exhaust will open it up a bit though. For true eargasms, you want to look for a V8 S5

 

I am actually thinking of getting a 4.2 V8 S5, but I don't want to add any custom exhausts, so is the stock exhaust for the V8 S5 truly decent for eargasms? I really want something that will make some noise!

 

I had a V8 S4 (2006) for almost two years. The exhaust was stock, but the pre-cats had been removed. The sound was amazing. Understated, but turned heads without being obnoxious.

 

heres my s5 with resonator and xpipe installed to stock mufflers, still catted though. sounds decent when partial throttle but at WOT its annoying metalic sound. i figure if i put 2 small resonators after the xpipe maybe itl reduce the rasp?
