I just purchase a 2008 A5 and it did not have an MMI cable so I purchased one online through Amazon. I received it today, however, when I plug it in to the system and my iPhone 4 I get "no device connected." Anyone knows what the issue is?

 

I have a similar issue with my 08 S5. Been to the dealer and they tested the cable and the unit with "no fault found" on either. They suggested a new unit for £380 approx. There has got to be a simple solution that is cheaper !!!
