Which Scanner do i get?
I have a 99 A6, I am looking for a good scanner that will read ABS and air bag.
I have tried an Innova, it worked for engine codes but no ABS or air bags. Then tried a Memoscan U600 and was complete crap!, nothing but failed connection.
Not really sure I want to go with a vagcom and laptop.
So please help! sick of wasting time and money on scanners that work.

I have been looking for the same thing. I will say that the connection problem you experienced may have been something else. The Indie shop I patronize occasionally was always able to use their Snap-On scanner on my '98 A4q. Until not long ago, when it couldn't communicate any longer. It probably is a problem in my ECU or elsewhere in the car.
