Whiny noise on A5 3.2 v6 Quattro
Hoping to buy an A5 3.2 V6 Quattro tomorrow.
2008 model with just 43000 on the clock with fash.
Only concern is from inside the car whilst it's ticking over I can hear a slight whine, almost like the sound from a badly fitted car sterio with a bad earth, but its not from the stereo.
It's not annoying, it's just there and I was wondering if this was a characteristic of the V6 engine or if I should be wary. It's had an Audi service in the past few months and it's mint. The guys say it's just the way it sounds.
It increases and lowers in pitch with engine revs, spose almost sounds like a belt.
Any ideas or is it just a V6 characteristic?
