Cruise Control problem

Default Cruise Control problem

Did a search came up with some stuff but not exact stuff i want. Cruise will shut off randomly or not engage sometimes. after it shuts off it doesnt turn back on. Revs dont fluxuate or does the mph. Dealership said itd be the vacuum for the cruise but some people say brake lights. anyones car do this?

Could be either the brake switch or a vacum line. I'd replace the vacume lines first and then look at the switch. In any case if the vacum lines are going bad ( normal problem) you'll need to do them anyway

Mine to was working intermittently and it turns out it was control modual.
www.autoecu.com rebuilt it for me and they also showed me whee it was located.

When my brake light switch went bad it caused the cruise not to function but the ESP and ABS lights also came on. All returned to normal with a new switch. If you don't have the warning lights then I'd look toward the vacum lines first also.
