'02 A6 3.0 Outer CV Joint Repair

I was going to suggest going to an indie and letting them replace the whole axle. It's about a $250 job and not worth messing with. Suspension work is not for the noob, it takes big air tools and hammers to go with experience.

If you're still looking, I would recommend going to FCP Euro for aftermarket CV joints.
As far as it being a DIY job, it is, but you need to have patience to get it done. Oh, and the right tools. Afterwards, do yourself a favor and also get a front end alignment done.
