Default 06 A6 Battery replacement issue

I took off the weather strip and removed the first plastic cover.
The battery is in a box under an additional plastic shield that the windshield wipers go through.

I can't figure out how to get that second shield off, it's right up to the window and I can't pill it off.

How do you get this off? If I can't figure it out, I have to return the battery to Pepboys and take it to the dealer to get ripped off.

Any help would be appreciated.

well, RTFM andyou will see the battery in the trunk. I now assume I can hook up a charger to the charging pins in the front of the car and then change the battery to make sure that it does not lose power, right?

I have no idea what your second post is asking, not familiar with the set up in an '06.

but in reference to your first post: If you look down next to the battery you will see a little metal bracket that holds the battery in place. remove the bracket and you should be able to slide the battery to the left side of the car enough to lift it out. You do not have to remove the "plastic shield that the windshield wipers go through" reverse the procedure to put the new battery in.

good luck
