I searched but could not find any info...

2004 A6 Sline 2.7T with 5sp TT.

This is not my first auto trans car, but this condition feels a bit strange and was wondering if it's normal for an Audi. When transitioning from acceleration to off the gas coast, the trans feels like it's holding the gear for a few seconds (slight engine breaking) before it releases into a neutral state (coasting).

Is this a function of the A6 auto or is there something I should be investigating?
