Hi,

All of a sudden, I can no longer control heat or AC in my 1995 A6 Quattro . The climate control head unit display controls seem to work, although no flaps move with their heat direction selection. A diagnostic check from an external 3rd party X431 Diagnostic Unit shows that all the flap control motors are "Blocked or without voltage". I see no fuses blown.

Here's the Diagnostic Report from the X431 SMART BOX unit:

01271 Motor for temperature flap-v68 -- Blocked or without voltage

CODE002:
01272 Motor for central flap-v7 0 -- Blocked or without voltage

CODE003:
00603 Defroster flap motor in footwell-v85 -- Blocked or without voltage

CODE004:
01274 Motor for air flow fla-v71 -- Blocked or without voltage."

Has anyone ever seen this before or have any idea what could be preventing the head unit from controlling the flap motors? It's getting cold in Rochester already.

PS More information... using the built-in AC Diagnostics from http://www.audiworld.com/tech/int5.shtml#Notes52 I see error codes of: 8.5, 11.5, 13.5.

 

Did you ever get your heat fixed? Was it a stuck Temperature Flap or something else? Thanks.....

What problem are you having?
